Visitor Information

What to Expect

Thank you for visiting First Christian Church’s web site. We would be happy to welcome you on a Sunday morning for worship, or for any of our special events. Here’s some information you might find helpful when you visit.

Sunday Services

First Christian Church offers an unique worship service:

Our service begins at 10:30 am. The sermon is a mixture of the interpretation of the Word of God in its original context set along side the application of the Word for today. Our service features all of the familiar parts (offering, guest, communion, sermon, etc.), focusing on the scripture and congregational singing of traditional hymns and contemporary music.

Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is the commemoration of Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples. Communion is served every week with the passing of the bread and grape juice. We also offer the breaking of the bread and dipping the bread in the grape juice.

Sunday School Activities

Sunday School classes are provided for Adults at 9:30 a.m. The focus on our Christian Education program is on Tuesday evening from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. with our program called Tuesday Night Live. This program is for children, youth and adults.

Childcare is available at the back of the central hallway. Infants through 3-year-olds may be taken to the Nursery.

What to Wear

Walking through the door on Sunday, you’ll find some people are dressed very casually and others are dressed rather formally. We encourage you to come however you feel comfortable. Whether you’re in jeans or a suit, we’re happy to welcome you!

Parking is available in the front of the church and also in the lot below the main building. Parking for individuals with disabilities is available in the areas in front of the building. Click here to see a bird’s eye view of the church site.
