The Children’s Ministry nurtures the faith of children through a variety of activities and ministries. Opportunities abound to learn the stories of the Bible through active participation on Sunday mornings. Worship and Wonder teaches children ages 3 to 10 after the Children’s Message in worship. First Christian Church takes seriously Jesus’ words, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is such as these that the Reign of heaven belongs.”
Tuesday Night Live meets Tuesday evenings 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This group begins with music for 3-year-olds through fifth grade. Once a month the featured Bible story is presented in a dramatic presentation during Sunday. The remaining Tuesdays each month are spent in age-related classrooms going deeper in learning the story.
Child care for newborns to 3-year-olds is provided every Sunday morning for the blended worship service at 10:30 a.m. and during Tuesday Night Live from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Pastor’s Class occurs during Lent leading to Easter. Children and youth who are considering making a Confession of Faith and Baptism will be taught by Senior Minister Charlie Wallace in weekly sessions leading up to their baptism.
